• Demonstrated expertise in the design, validation, and execution of biochemical assays
• Experience with automated/robotic assay technologies, liquid handler programming
• Experience with DNA cloning, bacterial culture, and heterologous protein production
• General laboratory practical expertise (e.g. biochemistry, enzymology, protein chemistry)
• Proven ability to work both independently and as a member of multidisciplinary teams
  

We are currently seeking a Scientist to join our Protein Sciences team and drive development of in vitro assays for key targets in our pipeline. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary project teams responsible for discovering, characterizing and developing molecules in our pipeline.

Major responsibilities include:

• Develop biochemical assays to support our target-based discovery platform.
• Provide leadership within the Protein Sciences group for biochemical assays. This includes providing troubleshooting expertise to other scientists in addition to assuming responsibility for assay implementation on an “as needed” basis.
• Manage biochemical assay projects both internally and through CROs.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of scientists to advance project chemistry towards commercialization.

• PhD in biochemistry or a related field with 3+ years relevant experience (or M.Sc. in a relevant field with 5+ years of relevant experience)
